At TIN, our mission is to empower international students to study abroad with confidence — without needing a counselor. TIN equips you with AI-assisted tools, peer mentors, and a student community so you can shortlist, apply, get your visa, and settle in on your own terms.
Why We Built TIN
Born from personal experience, built with empathy
The idea for TIN was born from our own experiences navigating the complex world of immigration. Like many before us, we found ourselves drowning in contradicting advice, outdated forum posts, and expensive consultants. We understood firsthand the midnight anxieties about visa applications, the uncertainty of finding trustworthy housing from overseas, and the overwhelming task of building a new life from scratch.
What began as sharing notes in WhatsApp groups evolved into a realization: every immigrant was fighting the same battles alone. We were all searching for reliable information, seeking mentors who had walked this path, and craving a community that understood our journey.
This realization turned into a mission:
To create a platform that gives international students the tools and community to study abroad without needing a counselor. We envisioned a space where peer mentors replace commission-driven consultants, where AI-assisted tools replace guesswork, and where every student gets the support we wished we had during our journey.
